UK gambling conference was a success

First and foremost, Boris Baum, spokesman for the office of the President of Ukraine and also one of the main advisers on the legalisation of the casino industry, and head of the Gambling Regulatory Commission, addressed the audience. The specialist commented that the key problem for most studios and operators wishing to obtain a permit from the Ukrainian regulator to operate in the local market was the incorrect preparation of the document package. It is worth noting that the information was available before, and KRAIL (the body that oversees the casino sector) did not provide clear regulations for the procedure.
Nevertheless, the official noted for the public that the technical side of the license issuance will be improved (4 operators have already received permission for online gambling activities - Ed. note), which will allow those willing to enter the legal market and cooperation with the government to obtain a document to begin operations. Baum also added that another revision of the legal framework for the industry will take place soon.
A lot of discussion was devoted by the participants to the topic of taxation of the gambling industry in the country. Thus, many representatives in the discussion agreed that the fixed rules are underdeveloped. Let us explain: the sphere operates and is taxed by deductions, excluding a number of new amendments, mainly by the Tax Code of Ukraine model year 2016, which, of course, does not bring a number of aspects inherent in the development of information and communication technologies, business and the change of government.
