Gaming Authority received 10 new license applications
The Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) currently has about ten license applications pending. The new applications from online casinos will be highlighted this year. There is a chance that some new gaming providers will soon enter the online casino market. It is still unclear which parties will be involved. However, it was recently announced that VideoSlots.com had published the Ksa logo on its site, as well as a reference to Loket Kansspel. The news was published in the trade journal 'Gaming in Holland'.
Interview with René Jansen
In the trade journal, attention was mainly focused on the interview with René Jansen, Chairman of the Board of the Dutch Gaming Authority. The chairman stated that mistakes were made with the exclusion register Cruks, which did not work on the day it was opened. In this regard, users have been provided with a guide on how to find the best casino. As a result, the legal providers had to wait a day longer to go live.
In addition, the magazine 'Gaming in Holland' discussed the enormous volume of casino-related advertisements. Jansen said that the casino sector itself had to take responsibility for this, but failed to do so. Jansen also announced that 10 license applications were currently being processed by the Kansspelautoriteit. This summer, therefore, several new online casinos will receive a license in the Netherlands.
Uncertainty about the license applications
Jansen did not disclose in the interview which new parties are involved. However, several companies have already indicated that they will have submitted a license application in 2022.
