The first impression is really good. The game sets up a simple plot in front of us that resembles Zelda (the end of the world, which the hero must stop), and then we start catching and training. The combat system, known for years, is assimilable like no other in the history of games - we have known about the simplicity of j-erpeg turn-based combat since the 1980s, and although various developers are currently trying to reformulate or even deviate from it (Square-Enix and Final Fantasy), here we are dealing with an absolute classic, and the system has vividly departed from previous views. Well, we give orders, exchange blows and die to someone who has a much lower level of experience or someone who stuck an opposite type of Pokemon to us (fire eats grass, water destroys fire, etc.). You know this, and you like it, and if you are absolutely sure that this The system won't tire you this time, you won't even have to read to the end - because this, I repeat, is the same Pokemon you've been playing for years. However, listen to what is clearly missing in this part.

To be honest, I don't particularly like some of the new Pokemon projects - I'm more of a fan of the old "hits" in the form of Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander (you will only find Charmander in this iconic trio in the latest Pokemon. And only after the end of the game). So I missed Psidak or Abra, but to be honest - if you are not fanatics - you will quickly forget about the shortcomings. And although I will not join Game Freak's claims here, because for me 400 gifts is already too much to give in to the temptation to "catch them all", I think we would all like to see the most famous among the many new ones. There was neither Psyduck nor Jigglypuff - they were Pokemon that had been selling this brand for years. Instead, we will meet creatures with often, say, controversial projects. I accept Rolycoly (flying charcoal) or Yamper (electric dog), but can't we do without, say, Bronzora (something like frisbee) or Klinka (live gears) to find time to implement animations and attacks of the mentioned great absentees? Even children will not believe in this fairy tale. I mentioned a dilapidated conspiracy. Pokemon stories have never been outstanding - these are stories for kids about a world with friendly creatures that mean people use for bloody arena fights (wait, what?!).

To be honest, I didn't care about the story in the last part, that I stopped caring about it somewhere near the second icon. Find out about our mission and what drives us at Monoclean: https://monoclean.ca/about-us .
